HUM-PROT MATE is a colourless, liquid surface water repellent, which has been formulated based on polyalkylsiloxane resins and organic solvents, especially designed for hydrorepellent treatment of surfaces.

Due, on one hand, to the low molecular weight and the relatively small size of the polyalkylsiloxanes and, on the other hand, to the type of solvents used, it has a high penetration power in the most frequently used materials in construction, thus getting better results in hydrofugal treatments.

HUM-PROT MATE does not form continuous films on the material surface avoiding the passing of water vapour, but penetrates into the support where, through polymerisation processes causes hydrorepellent effects, not altering practically the vapour transmission rate of the material, allowing what's commonly known as substrate breathing.

Due to the structural composition of the resin, HUM-PROT MATE has good alkalinity resistance, which allows high hydrorepellent action treatments on material with alkaline character.

The colourless appearance of HUM-PROT MATE allows treatments which, in general, don't alter or affect the original colour of the treated materials; anyway, it's recommended to make previous tests, given the great range of materials which can be hydrofuged with HUM-PROT MATE.

The hydrorepellent effects of the surfaces treated with HUM-PROT MATE are characterised by the presence of a noticeable pearly effect (drop formation) after a few hours of applying the treatment. The total development of its hydrorepellent power is not completed after about 48 hours from application.
