SATECMACAL is a liquid admixture with a milky appearance, which, added to the mixing water replaces and improves the properties provided by lime addition in manufacturing mortars with cement and lime, avoiding bleeding problems that the presence of lime causes in this type of mortars, giving way to efflorescences which are difficult to remove.

Due to its special composition, based on tensoactives, synthetic resins and retarding compounds, apart from its main action as platicising agent, it has an important secondary action as retardant.

The mortars mixed with SATECMACAL in the mixing water produce more plasticised masses and, as a consequence, with better workability and application.

If desired and due to its high plasticising power, it's possible, keeping the workability, to reduce the amount of water used in mixing (reduction of the w/c rate), thus getting mortars with a higher final resistance.

Due to its retarding effect and as secondary function, the addition of SATECMACAL to the mixing water for mortars, provides a retardant effect to setting, thus allowing a longer application time for the mortar.

SATECMACAL improves mortar adherence to brick and ceramics in brick tenders, facing of walls with ceramic coatings or paving of floors.
