TECMA-FLOC is a light yellow coloured, liquid flocculent, which can be mixed with water and has been formulated based on aluminium basic polychlorosulphate. Its composition could be Aln(OH)m(SO4)kCl3n-m-2k
During the coagulation process TECMA-FLOC has a double action mechanism: on one hand, it acts according to the classical mechanism of the "mineral flocculents" and on the other hand, acts in a way similar to the "organic polyelectrolites", thus producing a mutual interaction between the aluminium polymers and the colloids.
Due to its constitution TECMA-FLOC has remarkable properties as coagulating and flocculant agent in water treatments. Its flocculating efficiency, when compared to other products containing the same amount of Al3 is between 1,5 and 2,5 times higher.
TECMA-FLOC due to the above mentioned molecular composition, gets higher floccules decanting speeds, thus allowing the increasing of the decantation capacity of the already existing systems or the reduction of the cost of new facilities for the same flocculation capacity.
Easy to use: Thanks to being liquid, it’s easier to handle and use. It can be dosified with automatic pumping systems.
Flocculating and coagulating efficiency: Good flocculating capacity, forming floccules of a remarkable and uniform size, which decant faster, leaving a residual turbidity in NTU (Néphelometric Turbidity Units) which is lower than in treatments with alumina sulphate.
Use in a wide range of pH: Can be used with a pH range between 6 and 9, although good results are being obtained between 5 and 9.
Efficient at low temperatures: Opposite to the action of other aluminium and iron salts, with the formulation of TECMA-FLOC the size of the formed floccules is independent from the temperature of the water to be treated.
