TRATAQUA-TR200 is a disinfectant product which has been formulated based on didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride. It's been especially studied for preventing and controlling legionellosis.

TRATAQUA-TR200 meets all the test conditions for “legionella pneumophila” serogroup 1 at 30ºC, interfering substance is yeast extract at 0,5% and 300 ppm concentration for 60 minutes (shock) and 100 ppm for 24 hours (maintenance).

The “legionella” type bacteria may be found in natural aquatic environments and in several facilities in buildings and industries, being frequent in cooling towers and evaporative condensers.

Among the systems both cooling and ornamental which are most suitable to the presence of legionella, we can indicate: cooling towers, evaporative condensers, air conditioning lines, humidifiers, swimming pools, thermal facilities, ornamental fountains, watering systems, fire extinguishing equipment, cooling elements by spraying, and in general, any device which accumulates water and spray it.
